Porth sits on the majestic rugged North coast of Cornwall.

Whipsiderry Beach is just 15 metres from the Apartment. It is a very popular beach with surfers at low tide. Access it by descending the steps or walk along the beach and rocks traversing Porth, Whipsiderry and Watergate bay beaches at low tide.

Perfect for a quiet day on this secluded beach.

Porth is a busier family beach and is just 400 metres down the hill from the apartment. It is ideal for children with Boogie boarding and swimming and dinghies and SUP are all fun. The golden sand and gentle incline make for wonderful days by the sea and a walk at the start or the end of the day with the dog.

The Mermaid Inn sits just on Porth Beach with beautiful views as you dine inside or out, watching the sea come in and catching sunset with a drink and some decent pub food.

There is a Tapas bar opposite the Mermaid with very friendly service and a fun culinary alternative.

There are several cafes just by Porth Beach serving breakfast and food, teas and of course ice creams throughout the day.

The apartment has the ideal location of just 1 mile outside of Newquay so you can pop in by car or by a stunning mile-long walk along the cliffs to use the lively town for as much as you want or need, day or night, and then return to the peace and the view in Porth.

Watergate Bay is a mile in the opposite direction either along the coastal path, the beach or by road. This boasts a hotel and spa, surf hire and lessons, a long golden beach, several cafes and bars and a restaurant.

Further afield there are many other beaches such as the five of Newquay including the iconic surfing spot Fistral Beach. Mawgan Porth, Constantine Bay, Padstow are all within 12 miles North of the apartment. For the intrepid an option for a good days hike on the Southwest Coastal Path or simply a drive or open top bus ride away.

Further South, Perranporth is 12 miles. 

Newquay has a number of supermarkets including Sainsburys and Morrisons and there are smaller shops within walking distance of the apartment.
